About the volunteering opportunity
We are looking for people who want to volunteer in our fire department!
Your Tasks
Our activities include the typical firefighting and technical assistance tasks, but also a number of special tasks. Depending on how intensively you would like to be involved, you can acquire various additional qualifications after basic training, such as machinist, boat operator or oil damage control...
What's needed
If you want to volunteer on a long-term basis and enjoy tackling challenges in a colorful team - then the Ingolstadt Volunteer Fire Department is the right place for you!
The prerequisite is that your place of residence is in the area of the city center of Ingolstadt. If you live in a district, we will gladly put you in touch with the responsible fire department.
A medical examination is obligatory before joining.
Time required
At the beginning you will go through a training (approx. 60 hours), in which we teach you all the basics that you need in the field. During the regular exercises (2x per month, evenings) you can deepen the learned activities in the team. How much time you need for the individual missions is naturally not predictable...
Important notice
Your commitment to the volunteer fire department is designed to keep you involved long-term. Usually a year passes between entry and first mission.

The Ingolstadt City Center Volunteer Fire Department is the volunteer branch of fire protection in Ingolstadt. Together with the professional fire department and the 15 other local district fire departments, we are in action for our citizens.
