Fundraising Hero

At FFWU , we use the power of football to improve the living conditions and future prospects of young people in marginalized communities. To this end, we work with local football coaches and provide them with the tools they need to use sport to empower children and young people in their communities and support their holistic development.

Your Tasks

In order to support more young people, we need to expand our reach, support base and financial capabilities. That's why we are looking for passionate fundraisers to join us to forge new partnerships, raise support and take our work to the next level.

To this end, we are currently putting together a motivated, committed and diverse team with different skills and knowledge that pursues a common goal and in which many skills complement each other. As a fundraising hero, you can choose a fundraising area that matches your interests and strengths. You will also work closely with our general manager, our board and our (future) communications expert to develop and implement the fundraising strategy.

Areas of work - Here are some areas of funding in which you can get involved:

• Grants: Funding from foundations, public or private institutions.
• Donations: Financial contributions from individuals or organizations through various channels (e.g. crowdfunding, Christmas campaigns, Google Ads, SEO, social media marketing).
• Corporate partnerships: Win-win relationships with companies, such as sponsorship or other forms of support
• Fundraising events: Organization and implementation of events to organize support and raise awareness for us and our cause.
• Social Business Ventures: Building new social impact business models to generate additional revenue for our organization.

• Leading or working in a selected fundraising area
• Formulating a strategy for your area and implementing it together with the Managing Director
• Building a robust funnel that is continuously fed and maintained to achieve sustainable growth
• Creating compelling content (in collaboration with our future communications expert) that is tailored to the respective target group - this can be in text form or visual.
• Networking and relationship management with partners to explore and foster collaboration opportunities and support for our goals.
• Developing processes that improve the scalability of the funding stream.
• Monitoring and evaluating actions and adjusting strategy and plan accordingly

What's needed

Skills - examples of skills that are helpful and that you can develop with us:

• A high level of motivation to sell FFWU's mission and organize support.
• The ability to define and understand a target audience in order to develop strategies for effective outreach.
• The ability to research and evaluate potential supporters, partners and funding opportunities.
• Creating compelling messages and content in visual and/or written form
• Project management: planning and executing initiatives from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
• The ability to develop and adapt strategies based on internal resources and external requirements.

• Analytical skills to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of campaigns and initiatives and derive insights for their improvement.

Time required

 We expect it to take 3-4 hours per week. However, this can be discussed.
