Cooking together and planning activities for our place of encounter and community

Who we are
Our non-commercial and 100% volunteer-run vegan café in the center of Potsdam is a community project of Madia e.V., which has created a meeting place for people of all ages where we can have fun cooking, eating and other activities together. In our meeting place, we want to create a space for creative people, activists from democracy-friendly social and ecological movements and thus enable the formation of a community that can support itself in the future solely through solidarity contributions from Madia activists, guests, groups, initiatives, supporters and other interested parties.
Our place of encounter and community is a family living room where people can talk to each other and get to know each other in an uninhibited way. There are always opportunities for volunteers and several guests to talk to each other, eat together and even occasionally spontaneously develop ideas for joint activities.

What do we offer?
We cook vegan lunches from fresh food for our guests and organize events (e.g. exhibitions, intercultural pop-up snacks, games and dance evenings, living room concerts, workshops, readings, etc.)

Your Tasks

We are a community with tasks of your choice:

- which you can help shape with your own individual ideas for activities and events,

• where you cook vegan lunches with delicious desserts using your own or self-selected cooking and baking recipes,
• where you help our cooks with cooking lunches, tidying up and cleaning,
• whose rooms and courtyard you can help shape with your individual ideas,
• where you stimulate discussions and actions on social issues and climate protection

• Where you can initiate or encourage intercultural encounters and activities

We cook vegan lunches from fresh food for our guests, offer lovingly handcrafted catering for groups, organizations, offices etc. and hold events (e.g. workshops, games and dance evenings, readings, intercultural pop-up snacks, living room concerts and exhibitions).
