Education mentor - accompanying and supporting children and young people with a socially disadvantaged backgrounds at school

The Tabula e.V. association has set itself the goal of offering children and young people in Wolfsburg support on throughout their educational path. Our focus is primarily on children and young people who, due to their social situation, have fewer educational experiences. These young people should also experience education in a variety of ways by providing them with an educational table - a "tabula" (Latin). Different actors take on the task of covering the education table with various offers.

Education is multifaceted. Education takes place in the classroom, but also in numerous other school and out-of-school places. Education takes place where people meet, where exchange takes place, where interests are stimulated, where people play, research, discover and experiment. Tabula e.V. creates access to these places, especially for educationally disadvantaged children and young people, while bringing people of different ages together. With this educational initiative, the association wants to contribute to the reduction of socially conditioned unequal educational opportunities and the associated consequences for the individual and society.

Your Tasks

If you enjoy and are interested in supporting children and young people individually and accompanying them on their development and learning path, then please contact us. We and the children are looking forward to you!

You will individually support children from socially disadvantaged backgrounds directly on site at school. As a sponsor, you should enjoy your voluntary work and the children and young people should be able to rely on you as a guide who understands and supports them. The number of hours, meetings, etc. are completely individual. Already by dedicating one hour a week you can fight against inequality of opportunity together with us and offer a broad education board.

What's needed

-Advantage: Experience in the work with children and adolescents
-There will be an introductory meeting at Tabula e.V.
-Application for an extended certificate of good conduct
-We will get in touch with the school and place you according to your wishes and organsiational possibilities
