Get creative and implement your own ideas with Kindernothilfe Arbeitskreis Wolfsburg

We are a voluntary working group of 10 to 15 women and men who meet every 2nd month of the year since 1992 to plan new actions together. At our meetings, we plan creative, meaningful, fun, profound and social events through which we can support Kindernothilfe's projects.

Since 2015, our work has mainly supported a project with self-help groups in Ethiopia. As part of this project, 15 to 20 women meet weekly to support each other. Starting with 2 cents per week, they save money together to give micro-loans to each other. This enables them to build their own livelihoods. The women are empowered to provide for their families themselves, so that their children can also receive food and medical care and go to school.

In addition, we also use our donations where they are urgently needed, for example when, as in the case of Ethiopia, the lives of children are endangered by a massive drought and famine.

Your Tasks

You bring in your talents in the collection of ideas for joint actions, you activate your contacts to be able to implement the action ideas, you do advertising, operate social media (for us currently primarily Instagram and Facebook), you maintain our websites, stand with us in the pedestrian zone and inform about our volunteering, you participate in our man-annoyance-not-tournaments, you support us in sales at markets, you contact authorities / associations, organize readings, and more.v.m.

Of course, you don't have to do all of this, but can choose the activities and help that suit you. Everything is voluntary and we do everything in common agreement and where necessary with appropriate assistance by the more experienced members of our working group. Everyone can "grow in" with us without previous knowledge.

What's needed

To participate with us, no special knowledge is required: Everyone can participate! Our actions are supported by the dedicated efforts of volunteers and we are very grateful for all who are active with us. German language skills would be desirable.

Time required

Regularly.

According to individual agreement.

You decide for yourself how much time and on which days or in which actions you can and want to support us.

Of course, the current Corona regulations also apply to us.

Since we do not have a fixed meeting place but always changing locations, we have created a distribution list for interested volunteers, in which we can include you if you are interested. You will then always be informed in advance where we will meet the next time.
