About the volunteering opportunity

Do you like to spend time with children?

If you have free time, give children the gift of time!

The Braunschweig Alliance for Family helps families with childcare. As a volunteer:r you have the chance to make children happy. When mom and dad don't have time and urgently need support, they give the children your full attention - reading, playing, crafting and everything else that is fun.

You visit the children at home in their familiar environment. This is a valuable relief for the parents, who know their children are in good hands.

Can I even do that?

Of course! It is enough perfectly if you have experience with children or simply a good connection to children.

What offers me the Brunswick Alliance for Family?

Appreciation - also by remuneration of the assignments
    Training offers
    regular exchange
Planning meetings - you decide how much time you give!
    experienced contact persons

Childcare in the family

What's needed

For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.

Experience with children or a good rapport with children

Time required

Regularly
Discussed individually
On weekdays, during the day

We plan a month in advance who would have time on which days - you decide how much you want to do. It is helpful if you also have full days once, so that childcare does not have to be split between two people.

Braunschweiger Bündnis für Familie

Braunschweig Alliance for Family

In June 2006, the Local Alliance for Family Braunschweig was founded. Representatives from business, institutions and associations are involved in our alliance. It is important to us that the situation of families living in Braunschweig is increasingly brought into political and social focus. In times of increasing flexibility, help with childcare in particular is urgently needed - especially when grandparents live far away.

Our network launched family-friendly offers for flexible childcare in 2007. In addition to a reliable office team of volunteers, our "allies" naturally include our enthusiastic childcare workers, who have helped many a family with a tricky childcare situation.
